BONSAI and TETRAMORPH were named as two of "The 5 Best New Fragrances of 2019" by a panel of esteemed judges at TasteTV and the Academy of Media Tastemakers for the The Artisan Fragrance Salon. In addition to being named as the Best New Fragrances of the Year, House of Matriarch also received the title of Official Fragrance Partner of the 11th Annual TASTE AWARDS which will take place in Beverly Hills in 2020. The judges sampled and ranked countless fragrances for elements such as Best Ingredient Combinations, Best Aroma, Most Unique and Most Seductive Scent in an effort to narrow the list down to only five fragrances. Thank you, TASTE TV and congratulations to the other three fragrance creators that also received the honor!

TASTE TV has announced that House of Matriarch’s “We Believe in Magic" video marketing campaign for the Nordstrom 2015 retail launch has been previewed and named as a finalist for the Ferrara Flame Award for Best Branded Video Promotion/Campaign and also for Best Branded Program.
We share this honor with our director and branding team, GIRVIN Design, product stylist Michael Kennedy, producer Jennie Lake and cinematographer Jenessa Joffe of Thousand Faces Media, and cinematographer Adrian Rhetoric of Lamda Entertainment.

Three of our soon to be released perfumes; Madrona, Trillium and Sex Magic were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals in the categories of ARTISTRY, UNIQUENESS, SEDUCTIVENESS, INGREDIENT COMBINATIONS and BEST AROMA!
ARTISAN PERFUME AWARDS: 2015
An annual Juried Awards competition rewards the Top Artisan, Niche, and Custom Fragrances of the Year.
Products from across the country were entered into this competition and sent to a panel of judges located throughout North America, who reviewed and voted on which they consider to be the “Top Artisan Fragrances of the Year.”

House of Matriarch returns to the red carpet, in association with The Artisan Group, for the invitation-only luxury celebrity gift lounge hosted by GBK Productions on April 10-11, 2015 at an exclusive location in Hollywood, California in honor of the upcoming 2015 MTV Movie Awards.
Matriarch's 100% natural Super Natural Collection Giftset will be prominently featured at the event and all attending celebrities will be gifted the most popular artisan fragrances Bohemian Black, Coco Blanc, and Forbidden. This event will also be attended by nearly fifty press and media outlets who will also receive the perfumes. Fragrance does not usually make the cut at these events, and this is a first for natural fragrances, so this is a huge honor for the Seattle-based fragrance house, established by Christi Meshell in 2008.

Our Perfumer and brand visionary, Christi Meshell is "the Nose" behind some of the most compelling new fragrances in today's niche marketplace. Her versatility as both Creative Director and Fragrance Composer allow her to single-handedly develop a concept from initial inspiration through final display. Each of her creations is an original design, composed from her proprietary accords and without any premixed bases or fillers. Critics and fans continually laud her designs with accolades like "The Gold Standard in Fragrance", "Genius in a Bottle" and "The Priestess of Perfumery".
A mystical heritage has called her the lifelong study of magical correspondences, plant medicine and sacred cosmology, knowledge which finds practical application in the fragrance creation process. Christi launched her first perfume in Bellevue in 2009, and she's been churning out award winning compositions under her own Matriarch brand and for private labels all around the world. Her first cult classic, BLACKBIRD created a stir in fragrance circles in 2012 when it beat out anchor brands like Versace and Chanel in sniff tests. Some say BLACKBIRD marked the "dawn of a new era in perfumery" . Now all eyes are on Seattle and the "fragrance revolution" she has been credited with igniting.
