Seemingly named after our Perfumer Christi Meshell (or she, after it), the word Chrism has an ancient and higher meaning - Anointed. In Exodus 30, God directed Moses to make a holy anointing oil. "and you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil - the work of a perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil.”
