Hints of white ginger, ruh gulab (an attar style rose oil) Edward rose and rose Bourbania twinkle in the opening. Rose apothecary concrete tincture, rose otto, white rose India, wild rose (alchemical rose with corolla) and small batch distillation of red cedar heartwood wildcrafted in USA. Opoponax resinoid is sweet, and smells vintage, hinting at suede. Africa stone and Ambergris ground the perfume with a cruelty-free, yet animalic, musky patina. Exotic spices are present during the entire drydown, providing interest and amplifying the inherent spiciness of the natural rose essences.
Organic lavender grown and distilled in Washington (Hidcote pink EO & blue and white lavender concretes, blue lavender absolute) champaca, tobacco, amber, lily enfleurage, pepper, honey, coriander, sandalwood, natural oakmoss. Oud provides structure, yet remains subtle. Proclaimed "best lavender perfume ever" by numerous fragrace critics yet still obscure - even as a House of Matriarch top seller for five years running.
Jasmine is apparent at first spray as a soft mimosa harmonizes and a sunny accord of marigold, bergamot and magnolia twinkles through. In the heart, several rare varieties of natural jasmine dance with traces of exotic tiare, broom, Omani frankincense, neroli and rosewood - notes which add to the interest of the jasmine bouquet but never detract. A soft erogenous base of Hawaiian vanilla and Royal Hawaiian sandalwood create an amber effect in the dry down.
