Giavonne's words have echoed in my mind as I have resisted both starting a blog and beginning other projects that require lots of writing.
Why the resistance? Many reasons. First, I abhor sitting at the computer so I am ever-reluctant to take on projects that will add more 'screen time' to my day. Secondly, as a Perfumer and Collage Artist, my preferred forms of communication are scent, pictures, concepts, symbols and music. Sure, I can write. It's just not something I enjoy or find amusing; it's tasky.
That having been said, the time has come to move past the reticence and give this thing a try! There are a number of good reasons for doing so, so at Anya's loving insistence today I am officially launching the blog. Read on, readers and thanks for doing so! I'll try to keep it interesting.
