It's day three of our blogathon and last day of the giveaway bonanza! A thick blanket of snow has brought us reprieve from the gray and everyone in Seattle is smiling. Snow is good medicine for SAD, as the reflection of what little light we get is amplified by the intense glare. This is why SAD is more common in Seattle than in Anchorage.

As Texan by birth, but a Washingtonian by choice, I am prone to annual case of the Seattle Blues. As the festivities of the holiday season fade, the sobering grey skies bring visions of Maui and Cabo to my head. Statistics say that about 20% of people suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder, but in my region, it is more like half; and they are almost all women. Giavonne taught me that it goes with the territory. "The High Priestess reads, she does not write" she said. " It makes perfect sense that you are not naturally inclined towards writing. Release the status quo and convey your messages in the ways of the High Priestess."
